I have been working on my homemade pizza project for years now. I tried different peels, but the dough always stuck. Jiggling and shaking didn't work, or I'd have to put so much cornmeal on the bottom it burned and was crunchy, affecting the crust mouthfeel that I'd worked so hard to perfect. If I put more flour on, it just burned and smoked up the oven. The movement of the pizza to the stone has alluded me for years - I resorted to pulling the stone out of the oven (I have the Pampered Chef one with the handles) and building the pizza on the hot stone, then putting it back in the oven. We burned ourselves more than once, plus you have to work so quickly you can't build a masterpiece.

With the Super Peel you can line up everyone's individual pizzas on the counter with very little flour. Each person perfects their masterpiece. Then zip zip you swoop up the pizzas and put them quickly on the hot stone, losing very little heat in the oven. This peel works EXACTLY as advertised. Watch the video on YouTube - it's exactly right. Your hand with the cloth stays still, while you move the peel. It's very very easy once you get used to the weight of the peel.

The quality is EXCELLENT. It's smooth, well crafted wood, comes with a very sturdy boad, and there's a hole in the top of the handle to store on a hook. It is heavy, so plan ahead where you hang it

This peel is much more expensive than others, but worth every penny in my book. It has changed how we do our pizzas, all for the better.

My husband and I purchased this unit a year ago and have used it lots and lots since then with no real issues. We liked it so much we purchased two for our family members this year! Upon reading some of the other reviews both here and at the Target website, I noticed some things I wanted to address. We haven't had any trouble with the correct temperature for the correct amount of time issue mentioned. Because it is a smaller unit than a conventional oven, if you are constantly opening the oven to check on things the unit will loose a little heat each time. It would be nice to have a light in it though to check on what's cooking. The semi-awkward position of the racks when pulled out halfway because of the rotisserie takes a little getting used to. I just keep that in mind and keep a firm hold on the rack (using an oven mitt) if there is a heavy item on it. Next we know that the oven gets HOT and that even though the handle is not hot, the portion directly attached to the glass will be. The toaster oven is not as insulated as a conventional oven would be. I understand why they have the warning labels on the hair dryers asking you not to bath with them while they are plugged in after reading some of the reviews. I can however understand the issue of appliances not working like they used to. I do agree it's become a quantity over quality world now. Overall we are very pleased and hope that our family members whom have all commented on how great ours looks likes them. We had also done a lot of research before buying it and for the price it's fabulous. Good luck with you search for a toaster oven and hope this helps.

We bought this to replace an old cheap toaster oven, and we loved the idea of having a rotisserie! Worked great the first 3-4 times... not anymore!

- If you don't get your 5 lb. chicken (largest that you can use according to the directions) EXACTLY centered and weight balanced, it will not turn.

- Don't even bother trying to make TOAST in this oven... it takes 10+ minutes.

- The racks are annoying- the 'toast' rack falls out and drops your toast if you slide it more than a couple inches out of the oven.

- The convection fan was noisy from the first time we turned it on.

We've had this product for a few months now, and I am NOT IMPRESSED. BIG waste of money. :(

The feature set on this seemed attractive. It's a pretty big space, comes with two racks, and even a rotisserie. "If it could do all that, then man it must be awesome!" is what we thought.

But we were sorely mistaken: It is extremely inefficient at heating.

Toast takes 10 minutes in "Toast" mode.

No temperature indicator light: I've never seen the indicator light turn off, regardless of how long or how hot I want the oven to be. 40 min for 200 degrees? Light stays on. 5 min for 400 degrees? Light stays on. As a result, I'm forced to constantly watch the item and check the internal temp.

Not worth it.

Our 15 year old Delonghi finally died and we bought the Emerson as a replacement. It seemed to have numerous features although its construction seemed rather light. Upon opening the box, the machine was literally falling apart with the outer edge bulging out from the front seam. As the device was securely packaged and there was no damage to the box, one must presume that there are no quality control inspectors on the Chinese assembly line where this machine was assembled. Needless to say, we never plugged it in and will be returning it right away. I wish Delonghi still was made in Italy and of the same quality as our previous model.

On the surface, it seemed quite nice with the rotisserie attachment and tray handle, not to mention the convection feature. Everything was going according to plan until I turned it on. The instruction manual suggests turning the temperature knob to toaster/broil and cook the insides for about fifteen minutes. I must say, I'm surprised our smoke detector didn't go crazy with the toxic fumes coming out of that thing. Heck, I almost had the fire extinguisher handy just in case. Remember the trick on how to burn someone twice with a match? Well, my first burn was when I bought this fire-box and the second burn occurred when I attempted to open the door. Yes, the smooth stainless steel handle looks innocent enough, but as your opening the door, the metal that's fastened on the top of the glass will get you like a rattlesnake in the grass. This unit shouldn't even get one star, but that's as low as I could go. If some of you are in to third degree burns and black lung, then this is the unit to buy!

I ordered three Mountain Woods Pizza Peels to use for making Artisan Bread from a recipe in Mother Earth News. One for myself and two for two friends I had sent the recipe to. One pizzza peel arrived and I worried that a mistake in my order had been made, but soon thereafter the other two arrived. I immediately started using mine for tossing the bread dough into the oven. It works great for the bread--perfect loaves every time. And, of course, I use it for pizza also. It is a lovely piece of wooden craftsmanship. Works well as a cutting board and to make pizza on then toss it into the oven. And the bread, well, need I say more? I feel very professional using my new pizza peel. You will too. Price is economical. Weight is not too heavy, not too light. Size is perfect for my needs. This is a great investment.

Mountain Woods Pizza Peel & Cutter Set is just the best! I use it with my Pizazz Pizza Oven and no more burned fingers getting the Pizza off the heating tray. Be sure to order the Pizza Knife when you buy this item - no pizza lover should be without either one.

Nice, simple tool that does the job. Mountain Woods replaced the first one which had separated at a glue joint, no questions asked.

if you want a piece of wood to hang on your wall..here it is. For a pizza peel it's useless. You have a 500 degree oven for cooking a pizza...lets glue some wood together and cover it in varnish..yeah, the varnish melts..and you can be guaranteed since they glued the thing together that'll it'll separate at those temps. old gramps, or whomever designed this, needs to spend a little more time in the kitchen.

ridiculous.
